Club helpers swap cricket bats for barrows at West Wittering

NEARLY 50 members and volunteers gave West Wittering Cricket Club a helping hand renovating their ground and facilities as part of NatWest Cricket Force.

The dreary weather didn’t dampen the workforce’s spirits as tasks including putting up a new picket fence and sightscreen and painting the pavilion were completed.

A little help from enthusiastic Sussex CCC professionals James Anyon and Luke Wells, along with five members of the Sussex board, made the event even more special.

With new facilities and a rejuvenated pavilion, WWCC look forward to the first outdoor net of the season on Thursday, April 5 (6pm), with the juniors starting on Wednesday, April 11 (6pm).
