Clubmark award will boost Thunder's youth programme
WORTHING Thunder have joined the ranks of Sport England- England Basketball Clubmark clubs.
Thunder, who have been one of the most successful clubs in the Senior Men's EBL in recent years, have recently added junior EBL teams to their programme. The work that they do in providing a safe and welcoming environment for their junior members has been recognised with the awarding of Clubmark status.
England Basketball's national development manager Sam Spare said: "The achievement of Clubmark demonstrates Worth-ing's desire to provide a positive environment in which junior players can develop. As the club enters the British Basketball League, we look forward to assisting its members to raise the profile of the sport and increase participation amongst young people."
