COLLAPSES CAUSE DOUBLE DEFEAT

LITTLEHAMPTON Cricket Club captain Stuart Stoneham refused to get downhearted after his side lost to Preston Nomads and The Sussex Development XI over the weekend. Despite still sitting third in the table, Stoneham maintains that survival is the aim.

Stoneham said: "I don't get too excited when we when and I certainly won't get too downhearted when we lose a couple of games.

"We know we could have done better but our aims have always been to stay up. I said at the start of the year that if we stay up by a point on the last day of the season we would take it. We are just trying to establish ourselves in the Premier Division rather than yo-yoing up and down like other teams have."
