COMPETITORS DEFY THE STORMS TO RAISE CASH FOR ST BARNABAS

A RUSTIC and Ladies' event at Rustington Golf Club has raised almost £1,000 for St Barnabas despite an extremely wet day.

Organisers had goods to raffle including a driver to the value of 200, as well as an Odyssey putter, golf lessons from the Cranfield professionals and so on.

Winner of the stableford competition and St Barnabas Shield, as well as 50 was Keith Worral, who also collected a magnificent crystal cookie jar provided by C&M trophies for the best front nine holes.

In second place was Derek Bishop, who won a trophy and 25 while third placed Ray Elsey took a trophy and 15.

The ladies' winner was Kathy Towler with Marline Franklin in second and Janet Feringo in third, who also won the longest drive, trophy and 5. Nearest the pin was Peter Towler who also won a trophy and 5
