Cook nets cup winner's medal

Steve Cook was part of the Brighton & Hove Albion side which won the Sussex Senior Cup on Monday.

The former William Parker Sports College pupil played the full 90 minutes as Albion saw off Bognor Regis Town 4-0 at Priory Lane, home of Eastbourne Borough FC.

Cook, 19, also featured as the Seagulls cruised past a below strength Hastings United side 5-0 in the semi-finals at The Saffrons, home of Eastbourne Town FC, on April 15.

The 6ft 1in defender made his first team debut while still a youth team scholar as a substitute in the memorable Carling Cup win over Manchester City in September 2008 and earned a one-year pro contract last summer.
