COULSON KICK-STARTS WORTHING

CAMBERLEY, newly relegated from National League Division Three and languishing one off the bottom in London One, gave Worthing a fright at Roundstone Lane on Saturday, before Ian Davies' side woke up, having been spurred into action by a Ben Coulson penalty.

The Surrey club started the match as if they were chasing promotion. Their backs were swift, and the pack was active enough to gain them second and third phase ball. Inevitably Worthing gave away penalties, and they were lucky that fly-half Paul Dunckley missed an eminently kickable one early on.

A score was not long in coming, though, and good interplay between the backs enabled Camberley right-winger Andrew Fleming to open their account in the seventh minute.
