He admitted he would have been happy to have come away with a draw from the cloub who began the day just one point off the play-off places.

Drummy said: "When you come to Wycombe where they are desperate to get a win and have got a very good centre forward (Adebayo Akinfenwa) who plays aerially, you're going to first and foremost not lose the game.

"If we had come away with a point I'd still be buzzing and saying 'well done'!"

Drummy praised his side's defending before throwing in an unbelievable free-kick by Josh Payne to win the game.

He said: "I'm pleased with display from the team. We had to defend today and then someone puts in a class moment. Well that's football sometimes!

"I've been used to playing football where it's all attractive and there's movement and you're in control.

"Well, we weren't in full control of the game but we were in control when we defended the game and we didn't have the ball and I was pleased with that."
