The East Sussex Cricket League is preparing for another exciting season, thanks to chief sponsor Parker Building Supplies.
It’s the 17th year Parkers has sponsored the popular league, which for 2013 has a record number of entries across 13 divisions, made up of from clubs across the county.
Graham Pitts, Commercial Manager at Parker Building Supplies and someone who plays for Division 1 team Ringmer, said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting the ESCL once more as it continues to take the game of cricket to so many enthusiastic players.
“Cricket is a wonderful game that brings communities together and the league does a tremendous job but needs on-going funding to ensure it remains viable.”
Parkers’ sponsorship helps meet the costs of running the league, including the hundreds of cricket balls that are used in a season.
ESCL committee member Dave Page said: “The sponsorship from Parker Building Supplies is hugely important. Without it we would struggle to develop the league and attract the diverse range of clubs that take part every year.
“We are seeing a record number of teams entering which is encouraging.”
