Adeline and Eloise staras Birchwood Grove girls edge out Park

Batting first Birchwood Grove scored 292 from their allotted overs thanks to excellent contributions from Eloise Young and Adeline Preston. In reply, Park were restricted to 282 after some great bowling and fielding from the Birchwood Grove girls.

Adeline Preston bowled three overs for eight runs and Eloise Young bowled three overs for 1-14. All of the Birchwood Grove girls were excellent in the field.

St Andrews Women’s 1st XI played their first ever competitive fixture. Facing Brighton & Hove, they restricted their opponents to 152-3 from their 20 overs as Lottie Palmer Brown took 2-22. In reply, an inexperienced St Andrews side managed only 27 all out but batted out 18.1 of their 20 overs.
