BAT2015 was created by Paul Burnham to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Barmy Army and to raise much needed funds for the Lord’s Taverners.

The aim is to raise £100,000 for the Lord’s Taverners, the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity dedicated to giving young people a sporting chance.

Barmy Army managing director Burnham said: “We are delighted that Horsham CC have agreed to host the Sussex leg of BAT2015. Horsham is a wonderful place to play cricket and we are looking forward to a fun evening and raising money at a ground where many of the greats of the game have plied their trade.”

The event starts at 6pm with a T20 match between a Horsham XI against a Barmy Army/ Lord’s Taverners XI, including celebrities.

After the match, there will be a Q&A with Chris Adams, Holly Colvin, Burnham and Billy ‘The Trumpet’ Cooper, a trick shot show from Rob Brown, a raffle and an auction. Entry is free.

Horsham hosts the Australian over-60s side on Monday when they take on Sussex.
