Westfield won the toss and decided to bat against a very youthful Tunbridge Wells team in East Sussex Cricket League Division 10.

Having lost an early wicket, Baker started stroking the ball to all parts of the Parish ground. With help from Kevin Wooton (47) and Jason Miller (28), Westfield were certainly scoring freely. After they departed, Charlie Fellows (17) helped the score up to 333-4 before Westfield declared after 46 overs.

After the game Baker said: “I think reading Graham Corke’s autobiography, How to Bat, helped me to my best ever batting score.”
