Bexhill beaten by new Premier leaders

BEXHILL picked up a reasonable haul of points despite slumping to a 61-run defeat at home to new leaders Preston Nomads in the Sussex Premier League.

Although they remain second-from-bottom in the standings, Bexhill have closed the gap to 10 points on Worthing who occupy the final position of safety.

Basement boys Eastbourne boosted their hopes of survival with a maximum points win over Chichester Priory Park.
