Billingshurst to host Luke Wright benefit match

Billingshurst will take on a Sussex County Cricket Club XI in July when they host a match as part of Luke Wright’s benefit year.

The Sussex and England all-rounder will select a team to compete in a 25-over match at Jubilee Fields on July 12. The match comes on the back of the club hosting a similar game for now club member Mike Yardy last year.

There will be children’s coaching, entertainment, a raffle and Sussex mascot Sid the Shark will be in attendance.

Billingshurst will also host a Women’s One Day Championship match on June 21.

England’s Sarah Taylor and some of the other countries top cricketers will be in action when Sussex take on Nottinghamshire. The match will start at 11am.
