The result came from a brilliant bowling display followed by some excellent batting and lifted them up two places from fifth to third.

After losing the toss, Crawley fielded first and managed to dismiss the division’s pace-setters for just 120 thanks to great work by spin bowlers Paul Clifford (4-28), Harry Chaudhary (3-28) and medium pacer Kunal Kapoor (3-37).

Kunal Kapoor was also unbeaten on 44. Harry said: “We bowled really well and then Prabh was excellent. It was a clinical performance.”

On Saturday Crawley are at home to Southwater.
