The hosts won the toss and asked the visitors to bat on a damp but good pitch. Kashif Ibrahim top scored with a solid 47.

Some tight bowling from the spinners Shahid Raja (4-22) and Wazoomi Wahid (3-26), helped by some good fielding and catching ensured the visitors were bowled out for 175 in 43 overs.

Eagles’ reply started well as the opening partnership added 50 with Anjum Zafar (25) and Razlan Razik (36).

But with some good quality bowling from Kashif Ibrahim (2-38), Michael Bell (2-27), and Adam O’Brien (2-28) helped Nomads get regular wickets.

They slowed down the run scoring, leaving the final pair Shahid Raja and Rilwan Mohammed to get the final four runs off the last over for victory.

This was duly delivered when Rilwan hit the second ball of the final over through midwicket for the winning boundary and picked up the full 30 points with the team’s third win of the season.
