At home to Eastbourne in the semi-final, they lost the toss and were put in.

Gemma Halford and Lucy Cawley opened the batting, facing a very quick opening bowler for Eastbourne. Selsey’s runs came from a range of players as they accumulated 101 for Eastbourne to chase.

Top scorers were Kirsty Martin with 30 and Denise Orford with 28.

Selsey went out to field knowing they would have to work hard to restrict the Eastbourne runs, and that is exactly what they did.

Eastbourne’s opening batters had some early success, but the run rate was slowed with accurate bowling and fearless fielding.

The visitors needed 14 from the final over but bowler Halford and the fielders kept their composure, restricting Eastbourne to a total of 93 and securing their place in the final.
