Cricketers padding up for the new season

CRICKET clubs across West Sussex are padding up in preparation for the upcoming 2016 season.

Teams from both the Sussex League and West Sussex Invitation League have a date set or are back in the nets ahead of the new campaign.

The Sussex League commences on May 7, while the West Sussex Invitation League starts a week earlier, on April 30. For anyone interested in joining a club, here are the winter net details for teams across the county.

Sussex League

Worthing. Captain: John Glover. Nets: Thursdays, from tonight, Sussex County Ground, Hove, 8pm. Visit for more information.

Findon. Captain: Bradley Bridson. Nets: Thursdays, Durrington High School, 8.15-9.30pm Visit

Goring. Captain: Alex Maynard. Nets: Fridays, Worthing High School, 7pm. Visit

Portslade. Captain: Paul Glover. Nets: Thursdays, Blatchington Mill School, 6pm. Visit
