Crows still flying high

CROWHURST Park have maintained their 30-point advantage at the top of Sussex Cricket Division Three (East).

The leaders triumphed by three wickets after dismissing visiting Henfield for 186. The main wicket-takers were Paul Brookes with 4-25 and skipper Paul Lindfield with 3-8.

Park appeared to be well on the way to victory at 148-3 with Bradley Payne making 50 from just 28 balls before collapsing to 153-7. Lindfield, pictured, came to the rescue by hitting 33 from 14 balls.

Rob Slaughter (4-83) and Tim Parsons (3-22) shared the wickets for Henfield.

The top four in the division all won with second-placed Lewes Priory getting the better of Hellingly, Ansty emerging victorious at Burgess Hill and Crawley running out five wicket winners at Seaford.
