In the second game, Cuckfield were put in to bat again and racked up 99 for 4, Hepburn and Palmer-Brown both retiring on 16 and fellow county players Clark and Reuby both reaching double figures. The girls then produced a devastating bowling performance to blow B&H away for just 23, with 2 wickets apiece for Clark and Reuby and also for Emily Goss who bowled with excellent control. The fielding was again of a very high standard with 2 catches for Charlotte Bates and 2 dismissals behind the stumps for Izzy Deamer who was in excellent form with the gloves.

Captain Charley Hepburn said of the performances: “The girls have played some fantastic cricket over the winter with everyone contributing with both bat and ball. We have all enjoyed each others successes during the games and we’ll look to build on that team spirit throughout the summer.”

Outdoor training begins on Tuesday 21st April between 6 and 7.30pm at Cuckfield CC. New members of all ages and abilities welcome.
