Eagles had a disappointing loss at St James going down by 47 runs.

Winning the toss and asking the hosts to bat, Eagles got off to a good start as Imran Mehboob showcased his skills by picking up 3-23 of fhis 12 overs.

This left the home side in trouble at 75-5 but a solid 70 not out from Jack Forman took the final score to a challenging 184 all out.

The visitors’ reply never got going as regular wicket by Sam Rattle who claimed 5-36 and Micheal Murray 3-40 skittled out the vistors for 137.

Eagles will look back at this game and know they wasted many chances in the field as well as batting mistakes which cost them the game.

They will look for a better performance all round this week when they host Ansty at Cherry Lane.

Sussex Premier League 2nd XI Div 3 West

Eagles 2nd XI registered their fourth win of the season as they beat Henfield in a thriller at Cherry Lane winning by 1 wicket in the last over of the game.

Mohammed Arif was the hero batting at number nine. He took the hosts home hitting a crucial 20 not out.

Eagles had won the toss and asked the visitors to bat Arif claimed 3-17 off his 10 overs to help Eagles restrict the total to 163-9 off 53 overs.

Kevin Thorne rolled back the years hitting the top scorer with a solid 39.

Eagles reply was build on the good foundation from the reliable Shankar who batted sensibly to make 48 and with Fallah Uddin 43.

But when they both got out in the same over it was left to the tail to see the hosts to victory with Mohammaed Arif playing a man of the match role and winning the game with only two balls to spare.

West Sussex Invitation League Div 2

Eagles 3rd XI made the look trip down to Selsey with a young team including three u-15 players and won a close tense game by one wicket.

Eagles bowled out the hosts for 135 in 32 overs with captain Ali Khan claiming 5-47 and Ajaz Noorzah 1-1 claimed his first senior wicket in his first over.

Eagles needed 54.3 overs to overcome the target. Ejaz Akbar 46 not out carried his bat the full inning and with the help from u-15 batting prospect Sanjeev Rizm took the team home to a good win, which made the long trip back a lot more enjoyable.
