“Not least children – with schools closed, home tutoring, absent friends, restricted exercise and grumpy parents.

“All of this is impacting on their physical, mental and social wellbeing.

“We want to do everything we can to support the community with our Help Out to Play Out programme.

“We offer this completely free of charge to primary school children to help them to get back to something like pre-pandemic normality, through sporty exercise.

“All five to ten-year-old boys and girls from any school are invited to our picturesque safe and secure ground on Friday evenings to enjoy fun and games with friends and family.

“Supervised by our team of dedicated coaches and helpers, these sessions will be run in parallel to our AllStars and Dynamos programmes.

“Of course, it will all be organised to comply with Covid guidelines. All kit and equipment will be supplied.

Harley said Crowhurst Park aim to hit the ground running as soon as the Covid shackles were released.

“We will be playing in 13 competitions this season as well as friendly fixtures so we have a very busy schedule ahead of us,” he said.

“Everyone at the club is full of anticipation and excitement to be playing cricket again.
