Supporters are being encouraged to get set for a huge summer of women’s cricket at the 1st Central County Ground, Hove by registering for priority access to tickets. .
After an enforced absence in 2020, England are back on the south coast for IT20s against India and New Zealand.
On Sunday 11 July, Heather Knight’s team take on India in the 2nd Vitality IT20. The tourists will be playing their first T20 at Hove and as World T20 finalists will surely provide a stern test.
Then, on Saturday 4 September it’s the turn of New Zealand to take on England at the 1st Central County Ground in the 2nd Vitality IT20 of their series.
The White Ferns have triumphed in both their previous IT20 matches against England at the venue and will be looking to make it three in a row. An England squad likely to feature Sussex stars Danni Wyatt, Freya Davies and Georgia Elwiss will have other ideas.
The best in the domestic game will also be on show at Hove this summer.
Defending their Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy title, Southern Vipers are in 50-over action against Central Sparks on Saturday 5 June. There’s also a chance to catch the Vipers in the brand-new regional T20 competition when Georgia Adams’ side take on the Sparks again on Wednesday 25 August.
Sussex Cricket chief executive Rob Andrew said: “We missed hosting high-profile women’s matches last summer immensely, so it is with huge anticipation that we can look forward to these four fantastic fixtures at Hove in 2021.
“It is the supporters and unrivalled atmosphere for these matches that make The 1st Central County Ground the home of women’s cricket in this country and the players – as well as everyone that comes to watch - are in for a treat when they visit us later in the year.”
Supporters can register now at www.sussexcricket.co.uk for priority access to tickets from Monday 19 April. Tickets for all four matches will go on general sale from Wednesday 28 April, subject to availability.
