They will now meet Ansty or Poynings in the area final.

The game was reduced to 25 overs a side after rain in the morning and Findon made early inroads after winning the toss and electing to field.

James Iago dismissed openers Matt Atkins and Russell Jacob, both for one, while Curtis Howell removed Pratik Patel to leave Ifield eight for three.

Findon continued to take wickets regularly and only Vish Patel (ten) and Mike Neale (11) reached double figures as Ifield were dismissed for just 58 in 20.2 overs.

Graham Manser ended the innings with figures of four for 16 from six overs.

Toby Kingsbury took three wickets, while Iago claimed two.

Findon’s response started well as Bradley Bridson crashed a six off the bowling of Rushil Patel.

However, he was bowled the very next ball for seven, to leave the hosts seven for one.

Kingsbury followed up his fine display with the ball as he made 33 at number three.

His innings lasted 19 balls and included seven fours.

Kingsbury and John Rogers shared a second-wicket stand of 44 to leave Findon needing just seven runs to win.

Felix Jordan went to the crease after Kingsbury fell and hit the winning runs as Findon reached their target in just 7.2 overs.

Findon captain Bridson was delighted as his team booked a spot in the area final and said: “It was a great win and to bowl them out for just 58 was a fantastic effort.

“Graham Manser bowled well and James Iago was good again.

“Toby Kingsbury then came on and picked up a few wickets at the end for us.

“It was also good for Toby to have a little knock as he has not had that much time in the middle this year.

“For him to get a quickfire 30 was good and it just took the pressure away, really.

“You never know as a couple of early wickets could have left us in a bit of trouble but that was not the case.

“We’ve got the regional final coming up in the next couple of weeks against Ansty or Poynings and the aim will be to try to get through that.”

Findon host Three Bridges in Sussex League Division 2 on Saturday.
