Findon set for last 32 of Village Cup

FINDON Cricket Club captain Bradley Bridson cannot wait for Sunday’s clash with Rottingdean in the National Village Cup last 32.

The match is the first national round, after Findon won the West Sussex area and Rottingdean progressed through the East Sussex section.

Findon were runners-up in the competition in 2007, when they lost the final to Woodhouse Grange, and Bridson said: “The aim for us is to get to Lord’s.

“We know we will have to play some good cricket to get to the final.

“Rottingdean are next up for us on Sunday and they will pose a tough challenge.

“They will have some talented players and we know we will need to play well to get through this test.”

The game starts at 1pm.
