Last over win puts Iden second

Battle’s chances of promotion in Division Two look slim after a thrilling draw with basement boys Herstmonceux. Elliot Scrivener was 93 not out, Chris Reid hit 56 and Ben Ridgway was unbeaten on 50 as Battle totalled 251-2 batting first. Ceux ended their reply on 250-7.

Rye are all but out of the running for a top two finish on the back of a 67-run loss at Pevensey. Sandun Dias and Martin Blincow took three wickets apiece as Pevensey made 221-8 batting first, but Rye were all out for 154 in reply despite 62 from Dias.

Robertsbridge suffered a seven-wicket reverse away to second-placed Buxted Park. Matt Wilkinson top-scored with 46 as Bridge were all out for 112 batting first before Robert Geaney took two of their three wickets with the ball.

In Division Four, Little Common Ramblers were subjected to a 192-run drubbing at the hands of Heathfield Park seconds and Adam Murphy’s five wickets couldn’t prevent Pett losing by 40 runs to East Dean & Friston.
