Littlehampton lost by three wickets at home to St Andrews, after collapsing from 134-2 to 166 all out. St Andrews then reached their target in 31.2 overs, largely thanks to 83 from Hayden James.

Littlehampton sit one point ahead of second-placed Arundel, who lost to West Chiltington on Saturday, and three points clear of third-placed St Andrews.

Fourth-placed Southwater and fifth-placed Ram are both 11 points behind Littlehampton, although both have a game in hand and Littlehampton skipper Dan Rive said: “The only positive from Saturday was that we stayed top.

“We’re away to Ram on Saturday and then play Southwater the following week, so they’re both crucial games.

“They’ve both only played two games but if we pick up good results against both of them in the next two weeks, we’ll stay above them.

“If we can do that, then we’ll go into the following three games, which are all winnable, with confidence.”
