Naveed leaves Sussex CCC

Sussex County Cricket Club have announced that left-arm seamer Naveed Arif Gondal has been released after two seasons with the County.

The 30 year-old Pakistan-born player signed for Sussex in time for the beginning of the 2011 season, and in all played eleven LV=County Championship matches, thirteen Clydesdale Bank 40 matches and six Friends Life t20 games in his time at The PROBIZ County Ground.

He had not featured in Sussex’s first team since the LV=CC match with Warwickshire in July and Professional Cricket Manager Mark Robinson said, “It is always sad when any player leaves us and it is no different with Naveed.

“We would like to thank him for his wholehearted contribution both on and off the pitch and we wish him well in the future”.
