Chasing down the Capitals' total of 148, the IPL's most expensive signing blasted two sixes in the final over to take the Royals to victory with just two balls to spare.

Morris hit a marvellous 36 not out off 18 balls - including four sixes - as Rajasthan picked up their first win in the 2021 IPL.

The Capitals posted 147-8 in their innings with Rishabh Pant topscoring with 51 off 32 balls.

Jaydev Unadkat was the pick of the Royals bowlers, finishing with figures of 3-15. Morris (1-27) claimed the wicket of Lalit Yadav (20) with the score at 100-6.

The Royal reply began with a wobble. Rajasthan were reduced to 42-5 in less than ten over after superb bowling from Avesh Khan (3-23), England star Chris Woakes (2-22) and Morris' South Africa teammate Kagiso Rabada (2-30).

But David Miller's excellent knock of 62 off 43 balls helped push the Royals to 104-6 before he was taken by Khan.

And it was left to Morris and Unadkat (11 not out off seven balls) to push Rajasthan to a dramatic victory.

The pair put on a eighth-wicket partnership of 46 to take the Royals to 150-7 in 19.4 overs and claim their irst win of the tournament.
