Sidley survival hopes dented by defeat

SIDLEY’S hopes of avoiding the drop from Sussex Cricket Division Two suffered a huge setback with defeat at home to fellow strugglers Ifield.

The Gullivers-based outfit are now 38 points adrift of the team in the final position of safety with just two rounds of fixtures to play.

Sidley posted a big total of 269-5 with Sam Steele making 110 off 119 balls and Jonathan Haffenden an undefeated 68.
