St.James’ batted first setting a target of 105-2 from their 20 overs, Jess Saunders top scoring with 41, assisted by Lucy D’Orsaneo who carried her bat for 31 and Maggie Smith with 12.

After a fabulous tea St.James’ opening bowlers Jess Saunders and Hannah Sutton frustrated the Brussels opening bats with a display of accurate pace bowling which led to a run out in the 4th over with only 6 runs on the board. Shweta Sinha then joined Poppy McGeown at the crease to take Brussels to within touching distance of the St.James total before McGeown was bowled by Sutton for 48. Sinha then saw Brussels home from the final ball of the penultimate over finishing with 44no.
