Sussex chief Zac looking forward to his first Arundel Festival

ussex host Surrey, who include Australian great Ricky Ponting, in the County Championship from Wednesday until Saturday (June 15) and then entertain Northamptonshire in the YB40 on Sunday June 16.

Toumazi said: “There’s no question that Arundel is one of the most beautiful places to play cricket and we’re really privileged to play in such stunning surroundings.

“It’s my first trip to Arundel as chief executive and, from what I’ve heard, it’s always a wonderful festival.

“I had one of my first meetings on a frosty evening there and I thought it was stunning then and it’s just incredible on a sunny day.

“We get looked after very well there, get good crowds and we always look forward to it.”

Arundel Castle Cricket Club secretary Joe Hudson said: “We are looking forward to once more hosting the Sussex and Surrey first XI teams next week, starting on Wednesday, followed by Northampton in a YB40 match on June 16. The Arundel Festival week is always popular and we just hope that the good weather continues.”

Entry for the County Championship match is £15 adults and £5 for under-16s and juniors (free if accompanied by an adult).
