Having come up through the Sussex junior ranks and Academy, the opening bat is keen to offer others the same experience.

“I was lucky to be introduced to the game at the age of eight, as my older brother was already playing. I was a bit too young for the teams but I hung around the practice sessions hoping to get a chance.

“Our goal is to give as many children as possible the chance to learn and develop new skills. We believe that quality coaching at a young age is essential to a player’s long term success. Our philosophy of small coach-to-player ratios will enable us to deliver a first class programme and to work closely with each player while ensuring everyone has a great time.”

Nash added: “We are delighted to be using the first-class, year round facilities at Hurst, which combined with our high quality coaching and the experience of current and former professional cricketers will give the young players the best experience possible.

“We aim to inspire those who attend our academy with the same passion I developed as a youngster.”
