Sussex won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved a good decision as Glamorgan’s openers crawled to 9 for 0 after six overs.

Will Bragg and Jacques Rudolph had to contend with an accurate spell from Alfonso Thomas and Chris Liddle, but the weather had the last word with the game called off at 4pm.

He is, however, likely to be recalled for the four-day championship game which starts at the same venue on Thursday.
