After hitting 92 not out in Littlehampton’s 70-run win over local rivals Clymping last week, Lee struck an unbeaten 125 as Littlehampton drew at West Chiltington on Saturday.

The hosts claimed a winning draw from the game owing to their superior run-rate throughout their innings, although Littlehampton are the early leaders of the West Sussex Invitation League after two games, as they sit two points ahead of second-placed Southwater and a point further clear of third-placed Arundel.

Lee hit 20 fours and two sixes as he shared a 120-run opening partnership with Michael Askew, who struck 57. Lee then added 66 for the second wicket with Andy Greig (27) and a 76-run unbroken stand with Ally James, who finished 36 not out.

Littlehampton finished their 49 overs on 262-2, before West Chiltington ended on 210-5 after 37 overs – after two rain delays, which resulted in eight overs being lost.

Tim Peters dismissed opening batsman Iain Haggart lbw for a duck with ten runs on the board, before Tom Chambers added 45 for the second wicket with Tim Jarvis.

Chambers (31) and Mick Armstrong (two) fell in quick succession to Peters to leave the hosts 57-3, before Jarvis added 69 for the third wicket with Jack Elliott-Monday.
