Bexhill have slid to sixth after last weekend’s heavy defeat at Roffey and are 23 points outside the top five ahead of the visit from Brighton & Hove today (Saturday), 12.30pm start.
Haffenden said: “We’ve got a game in hand on a lot of them and we’ve still got the second half of the season to play. There will be so many twists and turns. If we start beating the sides that are up there, we’ll be back in the mix.

Having won two, drawn two and lost two of their six games so far, Bexhill find themselves 16 points and two places ahead of today’s opponents, who have won one and lost three of their four completed fixtures so far (the other two were abandoned).
“We’ve had the tougher run out the way now and we’ll be looking to put things right this Saturday,” continued Haffenden. “Being back at home as well is massive for us.
“But every side in this division is tough because they’ve all got good players. I’m sure they’ll want to do a bit better than they are at the moment, but they’ve been a Premier League club for years so they’ve got a lot of experience.”
