Youth cricket round-up: Roffey beat rivals Horsham in final week

Morgan Spooner added 15 and Josh Dance an 11 not out to his earlier two wickets, as Roffey chased down Horsham’s 71-3 - Harry Huddlestone had earlier scored an unbeaten 17.

Roffey also shone against Barns Green, who recovered after early wickets to post 65-5 thanks to Greg Monk’s unbeaten 21, while Max Furber took 2-14. Despite losing Pat Gibbs to Conor Blancard, Dance (21not out) and Furber (14) put Roffey charge, for Jeal (16 not out) to complete the win.

And in the final match of the night, Scott Munnoch (22 not out) and Adam Goacher were the mainstays as Horsham posted 75-2, and early wickets hurt Barns Green as Greg Monk’s 24 proved futile and Horsham’s Guy Humphries took 2-10.
