Lewes assistant boss Billy Nixon said Crumplin, who was known by fans as 'Football Genius' during his Albion days, would be a welcome new recruit at the Dripping Pan.

He said: 'Everybody in football knows him. 'All the players here know and respect him. He's got an awful lot of knowledge of local football. He's a great addition to the squad.'

Crumplin has managerial experience at county league teams Selsey and Three Bridges.

Nixon added that close season negotiations with existing players was going well.
