Crumplin on a mission

Ringmer manager John Crumplin wants to put the memory of the Blues's only league defeat to bed when his runaway leaders visit Crowborough tomorrow.

In the home game in August the Blues were leading 3-0 at half-time through goals from Clint Moore, Dominic Shepherd and Paul Thomsett but were steamrollered in the second half to go down 4-3 in a defeat that left Crumplin fuming.

'I'm looking for a big performance and I think the players know that,' said Crumplin. 'That defeat was embarrassing.

'Crowborough haven't lost in the league at home this season and it will be drummed into my players that I want to win this one.

'I've got everyone available bar Chris Dicker, who is struggling with a dead leg. It could be a couple of weeks before he returns.'
