Czech this '” a win for Rebels!

WORTHING Football Club fans' vigil in wait for a first league win ended on Saturday in Essex '” seven months and 17 matches since their last one, at home to the same team on April 1. Does All Fool's Day come twice in a Rebels year?

Supporters can play judge and jury in a home friendly against Croydon Athletic this Saturday when the two new players at East Thurrock will undergo their final assessment by Worthing after the management borrowed them from now familiar loan friends, Eastbourne Borough. They are full-back Jiri Dohnal and striker Viktor (could that name be an omen?) Dolista from the Czech Republic.

Dohnal has been in the Sparta Prague squad and with Locomotive Prague. Former Aldershot forward Michael Gordon played his second match for Worthing in partnering Dolista up front while Andy Alexander played in midfield '” his third department of the team in as many matches since returning after injury.
