Davis misses out on top 32 ranking

The St Leonards ace slipped to a narrow 5-4 defeat against Joe Swail in the first round of the European Open.

Davis, provisionally ranked 33, had to reach the final of the last event of his season to stand any chance of improving his ranking.

Despite the defeat he can reflect on a good year which saw him win the final B&H Championship and take centre stage in the B&H Masters at the Wembley Arena where he compiled two glorious century breaks.
