Draw keeps United top of the pile

Hastings United remain top of the Premier Division of the Ryman Football League.

The U's lost their 100 per cent record but stayed unbeaten on the back of a goalless draw away to Hendon on Saturday.

Tony Dolby's side is one of four teams on seven points from a possible nine, but ahead of the others on goal difference going into the home game against still pointless Cray Wanderers on Bank Holiday Monday (kick-off 3pm).

Westfield have moved into an identical position in Division Two after sweeping aside bottom club Clymping 5-1. Dominic Cruttenden bagged a brace, and there was one each for Sam Willett, David Pugh and Tom Archer.

Little Common made it back-to-back victories in the same division after a Casey Ham hat-trick gave them a 3-2 success at home to Dave Shearing's Steyning Town.

But Bexhill United suffered a fourth defeat in six games with a 2-1 loss away to Southwick. Nathan Harding scored their consolation.
