Felpham aces landed county badminton honour

A Felpham Community College badminton team are celebrating first place at the Sussex round of the Center Parcs national badminton competition.

The key stage four boys Jude Blackman (15), Keith Jackman (14), Matthew Kissell (15) and Cameron Kennett (16) fought hard to retain their unbeaten record, giving the crowd a fantastic display of skill. The team finally gained glory over rivals Chatsmore Catholic High School.

They are now looking forward to the challenge of the south of England stages at Surry Sports Park, Guilford.

Lindsay Hudson, assistant curriculum leader of PE, said: “The boys have worked really hard to get as far as they have against some really tough matches and strong opposition. We are looking forward to hopefully continuing our success in the coming weeks.”
