Final day thriller next cricket season

SIDLEY and Bexhill Cricket Clubs will go head-to-head on the final day of the 2007 Sussex League season.

The local sides' respective Division Two seasons could be on the line when they meet at Sidley's Gullivers ground on September 1.

The first derby of the campaign will take place at Bexhill's Polegrove base on May 26 according to the provisional fixture list released at the end of last week.

Both outfits will be away on the opening day, with Sidley going to newly relegated St James' Montefiore and Bexhill travelling to Haywards Heath.

They will make their home bows the following Saturday when Sidley host Littlehampton and Bexhill welcome Stirlands.
