First half onslaught clinches win

THREE first half goals gave Sidley United a 3-1 win against Wick at Gullivers on Saturday.

The result takes The Blues to seventh in Sussex Division One, just four points off second place.

Adam Day opened the scoring for the home side after only eight minutes with a delightful 20-yard chip.

The visitors were given hope after 28 minutes when Paul Morby fired in a surprise equaliser, but United restored the lead four minutes later through Mark Funnell. Shea Spreafico sealed the just before half time.
