FIRST WIN FOR RUSTINGTON

THE TWO Clives guided Rustington to their first Invitation League Division Four win of the season on Saturday.

Clive Moore, skipper of Goring last year, and Clive Mann set up the victory over Ardingly, after Brian Sumner's side were left to chase more than 200 for the second week running.

Last week, they finished two short of success in a draw at home to Felbridge and on Saturday, they chased 203 to win successfully, reaching their target with 4.4 overs to go.

Trevor Horn had departed without troubling the scorers, but Steve Helliwell and Mike Short took the score to 41-2, when former Burgess Hill man John Hansford bowled him. Short was dismissed by Simon Turner at 62-3 and Paul Clifford went for just two at

74-4, bringing together the Clives.
