The jump-racing action kicks off with the inaugural Gentleman’s Day tomorrow, sponsored by Winner Group.

Last year the class-three feature race of the day was won by 12/1 outsider Floral Spinner trained by Bill Turner.

A jockey and trainer to follow tomorrow are Tom Cannon and Gary Moore.

Following Fontwell’s latest meeting last month, Cannon has taken back the No1 spot at Fontwell for most wins this season. Cannon, champion jockey at the track for the past three years, is now on five wins with Richard Johnson and Noel Fehily both on four.

Moore remains the top trainer, totalling the same number of wins already as last season with six. Last year’s top trainer, Chris Gordon, who often pairs up with Cannon for success, remains in second place with four.

As well as watching six thrilling races tomorrow, you will be encouraged to suit up and take part in the best-dressed gent competition where you could win a fantastic prize worth up to £200 from Moss Bros in Chichester.

The more competitive among you will be able to challenge your friends on the Bucking Bronco or Rock‘n’Roller to earn bragging rights for the afternoon.

There will be some special drink and betting promotions available for over-18s to enjoy.

Rivervale will be there on the day showing off a new Ford Mustang as well as giving you the opportunity to win a BMW M Sport for the weekend by signing up to their newsletter.

Up next is the second-richest race of the year at Fontwell, the Totepool Southern National on Sunday, November 15, supported by the popular Salmon Spray Challenge Trophy.

There is more than £54,000 in total prize money on the day, where the feature race is the ultimate test and is run over three miles and four furlongs on the only figure-of-eight jumps track remaining in the country.

Last year’s Southern National was won by 8/1 chance Gorgehous Lliege, ridden by past Grand National winner Liam Treadwell for trainer Venetia Williams.

For additional entertainment before racing that day, there will be a Jockey Mastermind competition held in the Premier Grandstand where four jockeys will go head to head and test their knowledge to compete for the prize.

Whether you are a diehard racing fan, or new to racing and simply want to experience a great day out, this race fixture is certainly not one to be missed.

Later, there is autumn afternoon racing on Wednesday, November 25, a great excuse to get out of the house on a midweek afternoon to experience the thrill of six high-octane races.

A busy month of racing at Fontwell Park in November is followed by the very popular December fixtures on Tuesday 8 and the big one, Boxing Day.
