Foes come face to face

Sussex Team Matchplay champions Worthing will clash with Littlehampton for a second year running in the Davies & Tate second round, reports John Vinicombe.

Littlehampton on April 14 have the chance to avenge last year after both teams cleared the first hurdle with ease on Saturday.

Worthing won 7 - 4 at Bognor Regis while Littlehampton's 9 - 2 passage at Hollingbury Park produced an expected result.

Last May at Littlehampton, Worthing won 6 -5 to enter the semi-finals of Sussex's premier golf competition. Littlehampton who went through to the final at Worthing's expense in 2004.

Since then both teams have hardly changed.
