FOGDEN LEAVES SOUTHWICK AS WEBBER COMES IN

MICK FOGDEN is the latest person to leave Southwick Football Club. Fogden had been with Wickers, on and off, since 1961 but has decided to quit his role as general manager after he was not informed by the club about joint-managers Mark Burt and Lee Cox leaving and that a new boss, Chris Webber, had been brought in.

Fogden said: "I'm leaving because of what has happened since the end of the season. Neither Barry Noonan, Malcolm Saunders or Chris Webber has got in touch with me. I phoned Malcolm three weeks ago and he told me that they were advertising for a manager and if I wanted it, I could apply too.

"I thought it was untrue that they expected me to apply after all I've given the club. I've never taken a penny from the club and I've taken over as manager on numerous occasions."
