FOOTBALL: Former Worthing boss Bloor takes over at Eastbourne Town

FORMER Worthing Football Club manager Danny Bloor is the new boss at Eastbourne Town.

Bloor has taken over from Ady Colwell, who resigned after Town's 9-0 Boxing Day defeat at Horsham YMCA.

Town are second from bottom in Rebels' Ryman League Division 1 South and Bloor will return to Woodside Road with his new team on March 6.

Bloor was joint manager with Alan Pook at Rebels in the 2005-06 season, when they finished eighth in the Ryman League Premier Division.

He took sole charge the following campaign but Worthing were relegated into Division 1 South.

Pook returned as joint boss for the next two seasons but Rebels lost in the play-offs on both occasions.

Pook stepped down at the end of last season and, although Bloor applied to be the boss, Rebels opted for Simon Colbran.
