FOOTBALL: Rebels win at Met Police

WORTHING Football Club kept their play-off hopes alive today (Saturday) with a 2-1 away win at Met Police.

The Rebels remain third in Ryman League Division 1 South, after Ben Johnson and Ben Williamson both netted in the second half to bring them back from being a goal down at half-time.

Bill Ruggles put Met Police 1-0 up in the 15th minute as he curled home a free kick.

Johnson got Rebels back on level terms in the 50th minute, before Williamson put away a penalty just three minutes later to give Worthing a much-needed three points.

Table toppers Croydon won, as did Folkestone, while fellow play-off hopefuls Godalming's 2-0 win relegated Eastbourne Town, Leatherhead drew 0-0.
